What does a dog have to do with eyes? For us, the answer is a lot!
Dr. Virden’s volunteer work has centered around pet rescue for decades, and all of her dogs have been adopted (or failed fosters!). We’ve been guilty of snapping pics of our pups wearing our glasses for years. When a local rescue group put a dog in glasses on their fundraiser tees in recognition of Waco Vision Source being their title event sponsor, we decided that our Mahle (pronounced Molly), would be even more adorable.
The glasses in our logo don’t just represent the basic necessity of helping people see. To us, they represent our tendency to geek out on the newest technology and the latest research as we help our patients see their best, now and for a lifetime. But we hope that having Mahle wear them sends our patients the message that going to the eye doctor doesn’t have to be a dry, boring, miserable thing to do. We have fun doing what we do best, and we hope our logo brings a smile to everyone’s face.
Mahle (pronounced Molly) joined Waco Vision Source in 2017 as Chief Smile Officer. She loves coming to the office, attending special events, and having her back scratched. Her special skills include announcing the arrival of the landscaping and maintenance crews and posing for tee shirt designs. Mahle’s favorite snacks are fish and any kind of berry. Outside the office, her hobbies include swimming and playing frisbee, but her favorite thing to do is watch movies while snuggled on the couch with her pet boy.
